Our latest, relatively new quarry can be found just north of Lönsboda in the north-east of Skåne province. We have been quarrying our unique diabase here, with its special structure and mica, since 2015. It is part of our Dark Stones category, as it doesn’t quite have that deep blackness required to be classed as Swedish Black. This is an ideal material for indoor countertops and different kinds of construction stone products for outdoor use.

Swedish Biskopsgården

This stone is reminiscent of the classic black diabase, but it also has brown shades and shimmering golden flakes. Note that Swedish Biskopsgården is a diabase but lacks the deeply black structure required to be called Swedish Black and is therefore classed as a dark stone.
